Chris was a homebrewer for over 5 years and had wanted to scale up to commercial brewing since the start. Specializing in porters, stouts, belgian trippels, and bavarian wheats, he rounds out some of the offerings at Hailstorm. He designs the labels, and coming from a career in consulting and software engineering, Chris supports the accounting/finance/IT operations of the busines.

One of our founding owners, Gene was instrumental in helping us get opened. He was our first delivery driver, then warehouse manager, providing mechanical, maintenance, and brewing assistance in the brewery.

Wil is one of the most accomplished brewers in the midwest. He has shared his talent with Goose Island, Revolution Brewing, Open Outcry and many other excellent breweries. Wils dedication to perfection shines though in every sip.

Brian brings dedication to excellent food to the highest level. With decades of experience, creativity, and good cheer, Brian cranks out incredibly inventive upscale casual fare that pairs perfectly with our craft beer.

Our taproom is an excellent place to host your private event! For Corporate, Birthdays, Showers, Weddings, Fundraisers and anything else, we would love to host your event.

Private Events (Full Taproom) - available Sundays from 10-1, 11-2, 5-8 or 7-10, Mondays for any three hour time slot between 10am and 10pm. This package includes one hour set up time, not included in the party three hour time frame. Extended time available for an additional rental fee. Seating for up to 112 people, seating plus standing for up to 150. Open Bar Package for $30 per person includes Beer, Seltzer, Cider, & NA Beverages (Wine options available).
Deposit: $500 to be applied towards the final bill at the conclusion of the event.

Semi-Private - available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday for any three hour time slot between 10am and 10pm. This package includes one hour of set up time, not included in the party three hour time frame. Seating up to 64 people in a reserved area. Open Bar Package for $25 per person includes Beer, Seltzer, Cider & NA Beverages (Wine options available). We would still be open to the public but you would have half the taproom.
Deposit: $250 to be applied towards the final bill at the conclusion of the event.

Kitchen Assistant
Hailstorm Brewing is looking for a hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join our fun and fast paced environment. As an assistant you will have the opportunity to expand and refine your kitchen and cooking skills working under an experienced chef. The responsibilities are preparing food orders for customers, preparation of meals, nightly cleaning, sanitizing of the entire kitchen, and washing dishes.

To be successful as a Kitchen Assistant, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures and remove expired or spoiled ingredients from the refrigerator, freezer, and stockroom. Ultimately, an outstanding Kitchen Assistant should be able to follow all food health and safety regulations and display exceptional organizational skills to ensure the timely completion of kitchen duties.

Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities:

• Preparing meal ingredients, which may include washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients.
• Properly washing, sanitizing, and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.
• Neatly storing all utensils, cooking instruments, dishes, and cutting boards in their respective places.
• Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans.
• Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required.
• Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good knife skills.
• Experience helping in kitchen settings is a plus.
• A food handler's license is a plus.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
